Variants Of Pyramid Solitaire

Pyramid Solitaire is a unique and popular solitaire game. When playing with the standard rules, due to bad luck with the initial deal, many games cannot be won. The aim of the game is to remove all the 28 cards that are dealt in the pyramid layout as well as the remaining 24 un-dealt cards that remain in the deck.
Cards must be removed in pairs that add up to 13, except for the King which can be removed on its own. All number cards are equal to their face value. Picture card values are as follows:- Aces = 1, Jacks = 11, Queens = 12, Kings = 13. So for example an Ace and Queen can be paired and removed as they add up to 13. Cards can only be removed when they are completely exposed. Cards are always covered by 2 cards below them until the bottom of the deal is reached.
There are 24 cards left in the deck once the pyramid has been formed. The cards in the deck are then turned over 3 at a time and these then cover any previously upturned cards. Once you have worked through the whole deck, you combine all the cards again. You can then go through them a total of 3 times in an attempt to pair them up with the cards in the pyramid.
You will definitely have a great time playing Pyramid solitaire. The problem of a possible bad deal just doesn’t go away and this makes it very difficult sometimes to play the game. The small rule change that was brought in, allows players to remove a single card from the dealt cards or from the pyramid and to put it next to them for a while.
This card can then be used when it is needed. The option of not having this single card in the mix allows players to either open up the pyramid to help them advance or to do the same with the upturned deck giving them many more options. You can however only place one card to the side at a time.
This rule really makes the game much more playable, but it was necessary for another change however to make sure that the game still remains a challenge. A player is now only allowed to work through the un-dealt deck of cards once.

If you’ve never tried playing in fantasy sports leagues, it can be a lot of fun. I play in several virtual leagues; football, basketball and baseball. There are a lot of other basic games revolving around sport that I’ve dabbled in too.
At the end of the day, this is good, harmless fun. You act as a team manager and buy and sell players and build your team, giving you areal sense of satisfaction when your team wins.
As with all things that you really enjoy doing; fantasy leagues get very addictive. There are loads of stats and positions to check and I find myself doing this constantly, and also checking out my competitor’s results.
I’ve even watched matches that I couldn’t care less about just to see how it will affect my teams’ placings. I will also follow games for the same reason. There are some that actually wonder if it is harmless considering how addicted some players get.
I mentioned a lot of positives about playing these leagues earlier, and here’s another big one; it incites our competitive spirit, which is what playing sports is all about. We follow our teams in reality, so what is wrong with following these ones?
I will admit to certain periods of obsession over how my players are performing and whether or not they have the best interests of the team at heart. This has often taken precedence over the actual results.
